Actually, I'm not sure if the word "runt" can apply to a baby without siblings, as it is usually defined as "In a group of animals (usually a litter of animals born in multiple births), a runt is a member which is smaller and/or weaker than the others."

But then, some single babies, human or otherwise, are born smaller and weaker, like premature babies.
