The type of spoon makes a big difference too, I've found. Can't be too heavy and must have a deep bowl.

Plus it helps to breathe on the inside of the spoon bowl before you apply it to your nose. You know, like when you fog up a window, but not too much or it'll be too moist.

I have been trying to do this ever since I was four and I saw kids doing it in a Pizza Hut commercial on our Land Before Time tape. So far I have succeeded exactly twice in my life. I make that same face Bob does when other people are like Cecil all in my business.

It depends on the type of spoon you use. You want to make sure the handle isn't too heavy, and check the shape and depth of the bowl of the spoon. These factors can make a big difference. Also sometimes breathing lightly on the spoon right before hanging it on your nose can help. For some folks, anyway. I usually don't need to do that, myself.
