In reality they don't do chalk outlines, it contaminates the crime scene. The only time they do them is if the victim happens to be alive and needs to get rushed to a hospital. So he's alive! ... maybe... hopefully... Let's be optimistic and say that he survived.^^ But the rake died, the rake definitely died and got chopped into firewood and its metal melted and made into thimbles.
Ehh. Like the Treehouse of Horror episodes, I never take the future episodes seriously either. The stuff that happens in them tends to contradict, like Lisa becoming president and being single with no kids, but then in this new ep she's not president and she's got a family. Plus all the crazy futuristic stuff, a lot of which we all know could never possibly happen.
In the future episode where Lisa was engaged to that British guy, the year was 2010.
One of the great things about Future episodes and the Treehouse of Horrors is that they're not supposed to be canon. You can watch it just fine knowing that that's not really how it's going to turn out.
LOL yeah, not to mention contradictions in regular canon eps, like last week, for example. Krusty was in a relationship with his agent, but WTF happened to his wife?! Remember a season or two back when he married that much younger woman? What happened to her? And don't get me started on all the contradictions surrounding Skinner and his mother!
I remember that. But still, Krusty has been in a LOT of different on-and-off relationships. Maybe they got divorced between seasons; I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened, since Edna and Flanders got married between the last season and the current one.
But yeah, tons of contradictions there, especially with Skinner. Didn't they reveal that he wasn't even the real Seymour Skinner in an episode in Season 13 or so?
The way that episode ended, implying a "happy" marriage and making such a big deal of it, they should have at least had him mention being recently divorced or something, not just pretend the wife never existed. That just bugs me. Like in Family Guy when Lois' sister Carol had a baby, but where the heck is he now?
And DID Ned and Edna get married? The only implication of marriage I've seen was them in bed together, because Ned is so religious.
Yes, ages ago it was revealed that Seymour was not Agnes' son, but since then there have been numerous mentions of her actually carrying and giving birth to HIM, not the real son he was impersonating. And even then there are contradictions within contradictions. First she's nine months pregnant when she was a pole vaulter in the Olympics, then she claims he just fell out of her on a bus after only 4 or 5 months.
He did once sleep with that one lady who sang at the church, more or less because she talked him into it. He justified it by saying it was like having a free sample before buying (marrying). Needless to say, she didn't stick around, mainly because he was trying to turn her into Maude, literally.
