Fourth Sideshow Bob pic in four days. Wow. Am I obsessed or what? 8D

No particular story behind this piece. No idea why Bob's in the hospital. Could be his heart defect, could be anything. He could be distraught because he's received a grim prognosis, is about to undergo major surgery, or he could just be hamming it up. Whatever the reason, Cecil is definitely sympathetic. :)

A note on the fine details: the bruises on Bob’s arms are the result of failed attempts to insert an IV. I often come home from the hospital with bruises on account of my smaller-than-average veins. His right arm looks a little puffy. That was honestly an accident that I didn't bother to fix, but we can just chalk it up to the saline solution. It tends to do that to you. As I was finishing up I realized I’d forgotten to add those wire thingies that they tape to your chest to monitor your vitals. Adding them at the last minute made them look kind of sketchy, as you can see them coming up from under Bob’s hospital gown.

I think I enjoy putting Bob in vulnerable positions a little too much. :) Again, I do apologize if my art offends anyone. If anyone understands what it’s like to see a loved one sick in the hospital, it's me. Those of you who know me well enough will remember that my mom spent a month and a half in the ICU (so heavily sedated that she was never truly conscious during my visits) before she passed away in June 2009. Those 46 days were the hardest thing I have ever had to endure, and the fact that I’ve moved on from it unscarred is nothing short of a miracle.
