Just pulled this out of storage. It's the local newspaper I bought on September 11th, 2001. Not September 12th. This is a SAME-DAY extra edition published within hours of the terrorist attacks.

Sorry it looks a little funky. I don't have a camera, so I had to scan it in sections and piece it together.

Jeez . . . I just showed this to my brother. His class didn't get to watch the news clip, they just saw pictures (our school classes always show news clips from 11'). I was out sick yesterday, so I completly forgot about it until about four. We looked up several news clips, and had a private memorial for those lost. :( My parents tell us every year that they still remember perfectly watching the clips we looked up when they were live. And that my dad actually had a friend who worked in the building right next to one of the towers, and he watched the plane crash . . . D: I'm pretty certain he got out alive though, but still. Deep scars there.

My brother was in middle school at the time, and I was surprised they didn't let the kids watch the news live at school when it happened. When I was in high school, they let the entire school into the gym to watch the OJ Simpson trial verdict live on TV, yet they didn't let my brother or you watch the 9/11 events? That's messed up.

Watch this!! Some people made a video of the burning and collapsing of both WTC's!! Horrible... I wonder what reason this terrorists had. :no:

Yeah I saw it. They must felt so sad when they saw how the towers collapsed and thought of all the dead people. ;(

Same day, eh? That's pretty interesting. I have a paper about this but it's from 9-12-01. But I'm on Eastern time so our local papers were already out by the time this happened.

Ours were already out too,. The local paper had already printed their issue for the day, but then they published this "extra edition" later on in the day.

I was about 3 or 4 years when this happened. I didn't know much about america and I couldn't speak much english then, but I still remember watching the news while my mother was in the kitchen. I told her to come look and we just kinda' sat there in shock, watching the tv.

I don't cry easily, but whenever I watch a documentary about this and see those people throwing themselves out the windows, I just totally break down.
