"The Bob Next Door" was the last Sideshow Bob episode, back in season 21. Did you see it? Bob has made a few very brief cameo appearances since then, but they don't count as Bobisodes (what we Sideshow Bob fans call episodes that revolve around him).
Yeah, and even though I couldn't care less about his family, I can't help wondering where they are and whether or not we'll ever see them again. I wouldn't be surprised if they're gone for good.
Remember when Krusty got married a season or two back? They've never shown or mentioned his wife again, and in fact he was shown sleeping with a woman who was NOT his wife (his old agent Annie). We got absolutely no explanation whatsoever for that, which is especially weird since they made such a big deal out of him marrying that young woman. That whole episode was based around it.
It's almost like the show writers think that wives are expendable. I guess convenience is everything when it comes to a good plot and it is easier for fanfic writers that the show's canon is so flexible.
I've even noticed that the rooms upstairs in the Simpsons' house sometimes switch places when the story calls for it, like when Lisa had to climb out the window of her bedroom, but the tree wasn't close enough so they put her room where Bart's is usually at. I'm still trying to work out which part of the house Maggie's room is located. XD
It's all got its advantages, that's for sure. Regardless of all the loopholes and inconsistencies, I've come up with some fairly decent explanations for things, like Bob's "fake family," and how Cecil appears to be the bad guy in "Brother From Another Series" but actually was the good guy instead. It's something I may use for a fanfic someday.
I like literally FLIPPED when Bob had a brief moment in the newest episode....now I only wonder if this season will there be a new BOB related episode, they need him more in it!!!! thanks for posting this
There ought to be very soon. The writers usually give him an episode every two seasons. Not a brief appearance, but a whole episode. "The Bob Next Door" was the last one, back in season 21. Now it's the 24th season, so we are now officially overdue for a Bobisode.
It's already available on certain websites. I am able to watch The Simpsons and several other shows on the day they first air online. I don't have a TV or cable, so I watch EVERYTHING online. Try this site: [link] and just type in "Simpsons" and go to the correct season and episode. It will give you several links, but most are bogus. If you see one for allmyvideos.net, that one is almost always good, as is putlocker, filenuke, daclips and sockshare.
Thank you, I found it last night. I've used PutLocker several times now for watching reruns of old shows, it's the only site where I don't have to download anything or pay (aside from Smotri and what you've given me, though Smotri's Russian . . .). They also have episodes on here: [link]
Simpsonsepisodes.com is kind of hit-or-miss for me. Half the time it doesn't work or the quality is poor, so I drifted off to TV-links and have been using it ever since. The problem with SE.com is that it only gives you a single link. TV-links provides several, so there's a better chance of finding one that works.
Seeing Bob in this episode just made my day all that much better! I wish it was a little longer, but hey what are you going to do? Some are thinking that Season 25 will/might be the Simpsons' last. If and only if that ends up being the case, the last time we see Bob can not be him getting hit by a train. The show makers need to make at least one more episode featuring Bob as a key character, not a cameo like this one. All I ask is just one more.
I'm sure they'll give him one this season. The general rule is that the writers try to give Bob one episode every other season. This does not count small cameo appearances, but rather episodes in which he stars. The last "Bobisode" was in season 21, called "The Bob Next Door," so he is actually overdue.
