England is absolutley fabulous, although I would still like to visit America. (I've never been.)
So far I've never even been outside of the US, although I've been to a few different states. I've lived in California my whole life (a must-see state if you ever make it over here) and I've been to Nevada (Las Vegas), Oregon, Utah, Arizona (Grand Canyon), Missouri, and Florida. Still a lot of other states I'd like to visit too.
Like Morro Rock in Morro Bay: [link] [link]
And Hearst Castle: [link] [link]
It was built in 1919 by William Randolph Hearst and is modeled and decorated after various European castles. The place is full of artifacts from all over the world, even an ancient Egyptian statue that's over 3,000 years old. Hearst entertained a lot of famous guests at the castle, including Charlie Chaplin, Clark Gable, Greta Garbo, Winston Churchill, and Cary Grant.
On the land surrounding the castle lives a herd of wild zebras that are descended from the animals Hearst had in his private zoo. You can sometimes see them from the freeway as you drive by.
I live in Manchester. It's wet and cold. In fact, it's snowing as I speak.
Not much like California, I presume?
This is Mount Shasta (over 14,000 ft. above sea level): [link] [link]
And this is Burney Falls (a 130-ft. waterfall): [link] [link]
They're both 500 miles north of me, near where some of my friends live. I go to Shasta and Burney when I visit my friends. Photos don't do them justice. I actually cry a little every time I see Burney Falls because it's so beautiful and awe-inspiring. And Mt. Shasta has snow all year round. I've gone up there over 7,000 ft. up and played in the snow in June.
